Luanda – The Minister of State and Chief of Staff of the President of the Republic, Adão de Almeida, participated on Saturday in the city of Bissau, Guinea-Bissau, in the celebrations of the centenary of Amílcar Cabral, on behalf of the Angolan Head of State, João Lourenço.
According to a note to which Angop had access, the government official also represented Angola in the celebrations of the 51st anniversary of the independence of the Republic of Guinea-Bissau, as well as the 60th anniversary of its Armed Forces.
Adão de Almeida's visit, which had an intense official agenda, reached high point with the audience granted to him by the President of Guinea-Bissau, Umaro Sissoco Embaló, in Friday, which focused on evaluating the relationship of friendship and cooperation between both countries, pointing out the historical and diplomatic ties that unite the two states.
He was accompanied by the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Angola to that country, Mário Augusto.
