Luanda – Angolan minister of Culture, Tourism and Environment Jomo Fortunato regretted last Sunday the death of the singer Mateus Luís António “Yman” of Ndengues do Kota Duro group.
Yman played rhythm guitar and was the main singer of the group, along with the late and founder of the band, José João Caetano “ Kota Duro”.
Yman recorded six traditional music albums, with stress to katutula, mbenzena, bukula, which are typical of Cacuso/Pungo a Ndongo region of the northern Malanje province.
I learnt with deep pain and sorrow of the passing away of Yman, said the minister Jomo Fortunato in his message reached Angop on Sunday.
