Talatona - The Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Environment (MCTA) carried out, this Thursday, in Luanda, the delivery of the document which legitimates the action of the Commission for the Artist Professional Card (CCPA) to 23 members of cultural associations which are members of the organization.
Delivered by the incumbent Minister, Filipe Zau, the document will confer authority to the commission to carry out protocols of actions for the benefit of the artistic class at the level of the 18 provinces of the country.
One of the actions envisaged by the commission is the process of inclusion of the artists in the programmes of public administration and social security, with a view to the recognition of liberal activity with access to social security.
According to ANGOP, the National Director of Culture, Euclides da Lomba, considered this step as the biggest conquest achieved so far by the artists.
Filipe Nzau praised the class for the long awaited gains and asked for a greater inclusion of the members, especially of those who stood out for the development of Angolan culture.
The minister explained that the professional card will make it possible to reorganize, structure and discipline artistic activity in the country, at a time when the artist's house is being created, bringing conditions for art makers.
The chairperson of the Professional Card and Ethics Commission, Maneco Vieira Dias, guaranteed to always work so that the united class walks the long way ahead of them.
He said that this step was awaited for 20 years and that it represents a gain for the class, having guaranteed the fulfilment of the deontological principles of creators.
Members of the commission are Marito Furtado, António Ana (Etona), Fernando de Carvalho (ToZé), António Pompilho, Chico Madne, Yola Castro, Amadeu Correia, Simão Paulinho, among others.
