Dundo - The Office for Culture, Tourism, Youth and Sports in Lunda Norte intends to reconstruct the history of the Lunda-Chokwe people and their relatives, correcting errors, especially those of their origin.
To this end, an inter-provincial forum was held on Friday, in Dundo city, which brought together historians, researchers, traditional authorities, academics, among other figures from eastern region of Angola.
The forum precedes a future international conference to bring together anthropologists, sociologists, scientists, researchers and national and international academics, addresses the history and historiography of the peoples of the Lunda.
Lunda territory - origin, expansion and kinship relations, habits, uses and customs of the Lunda-Chokwe peoples, European penetration in the Lunda, Christianity in the Lunda, among other topics were also part of the subjects discussed by the forum.
