Cuito - The Provincial Office for Culture, Tourism, Youth and Sports of the central Bie province, is seeking to have more financial returns from cultural activities with aim to increase state revenues, the provincial director, Nelson Calumbo Quintas, told ANGOP today.
According to the culture official, the local government has a training program along with construction of new infrastructures, which will allow it to raise funds with taxes.
"We are building a music academy, which will probably start later this year. When completed, it will have various cultural actors who want to develop their arts and thus the Government can raise funds from taxes, as well as serve the artists," Quintas said.
