Talatona - The Private University of Angola (UPRA) will hold from 5 to 7 of this month, in Luanda Province, its 2nd International Medicine Congress, with the aim of promoting the sharing of technical and professional knowledge about research, publication and scientific communication.
The event also aims to open an opportunity for dialogue between health professionals, in order to make them aware of the need to comply with procedures so that in the exercise of their functions there is humanisation in the relationship between patients, doctors and families.
Speaking at a press conference to launch the event, the university's rector, Silvana Rocha da Silveira, said that the congress would be attended by Angolan, Portuguese, Brazilian and Mexican specialists, who will debate innovation and the progress of research to support solutions to public health challenges.
With the motto “Public Health, Transversality in Sustainable Primary Care” the congress will take place in a face-to-face and online format.
"The event will have several activities such as conferences, round-table and panels that will last about two hours in order to promote dialogue among stakeholders to bring resolutions to the challenge of public health in Angola", she added.
The 1st UPRA International Medical Congress was held in July 2021 and was attended 100% in online format due to the covid-19 pandemic.
