Luanda - The Ministry of Education (MED) repudiated, Monday, the attitude of the Portuguese School of Luanda in suspending presential classes over alleged lack of biosecurity conditions. In a statement made public on Saturday, the school said parents felt insecure regarding the return of students after a student had positive resul for Covid-19.
The Ministry of Education stated, in a press release, that it is surprised and displeased with such measure, demarcating itself from any responsibility in this act.
According to the ministerial department, before the presential classes had resumed, the institution was inspected to assess whether it met the necessary conditions to resume classes.
Regarding the small number of students in the classrooms, the MED says that it is the responsibility of the institution to establish a relationship of trust with parents and guardians so that they can feel more comfortable to send the students to the classrooms.
