Huambo – At least 7.833 teachers and administrative agents in the Education sector in the province of Huambo, placed in remote areas, have received, since March, isolation, installation and rent allowances, implemented by the Angolan Executive.
The information was provided to ANGOP Tuesday, by the head of the Planning, Statistics and Human Resources department of the local Education office, José Eduardo Marques, highlighting that they are employees of the municipalities of Cachiungo, Chicala-Cholohanga, Chinjenje, Ecunha, Londuimbali, Longonjo, Mungo and Ucuma.
He said that they are pecuniary, professional and social incentives, which arise as a result of Presidential Decree no. 67/23, of March 7, which aims to motivate employees and administrative agents, who work in difficult to access and isolated areas in municipalities of the types C and D, in accordance with the legislation.
He informed that, due to the fact that it is a decree from 2023 and only effective in March of this year, there are some outstanding amounts that are being paid in full, others being retroactive for six months and others being delayed, gradually, depending on the survey of employee lists in municipalities.
Due to this initiative by the Angolan Executive, José Eduardo Marques urged employees to remain in their municipalities of work, as the subsidy aims to attract staff in remote areas.
In his approach, he asked for good management of this money, to avoid situations of lack of transport, home and other additional excuses.
According to the law, the isolation allowance is determined at 30% of the base salary, the installation allowance at 50%, paid in a single installment, while the house rent allowance at 30%, for employees who do not reside in the area in which they work. ZZN/JSV/ALH/CF/DOJ
