Zango – At least 623 necessitous young people from the Urban District of Zango, in the municipality of Viana, Luanda Province, on Saturday benefited from scholarships program, granted by the Association of Naturals and Friends of Zango (Anazango) and partners.
Speaking to the press, the chairman of Anazango, Veríssimo Moniz, highlighted that the initiative is part of the "Minha Bolsa, Meu Sucesso" project and the beneficiaries will attend nursing, law and international relations courses.
Likewise, those selected will be able to attend Human Resources courses at the University of Belas and at the Nelson Mandela Higher Institute, Deolinda Rodrigues Higher Institute and Higher Polytechnic Institute of Zango.
He also explained that eligible citizens are those with financial difficulties, as well as financially disabled people who will pay 50% of the tuition fees.
On the other hand, he said that the project implemented five years ago has already offered around 3,000 scholarships and many of these have already completed their training.
“So, taking into account the demand for mid-level benefits, the project also plans to serve this segment of young people”, he added.
In turn, the law course scholarship holder, Justino Bongo, was pleased with the opportunity given and assured that after training he will contribute to the legal field.
Felismina Funete, a nursing student, appealed to her colleagues to make the most of the training they are enrolled in, so that mentors remain motivated and help other young people.
The administrator of the Zango district, Célsio de Carvalho, encouraged the scholarship holders to complete the training period with pride and thus be able to contribute to the country's development.
At the time, the official congratulated the Association, for being concerned with the training of the most needed people.
Anazango is a non-governmental, non-partisan and philanthropic organization, made up of natives and friends of Zango interested in the social and cultural, economic and community development of this district, founded on August 13, 2016.
