Malanje - The Credit Guarantee Fund (FGC) and the Queen Njinga Mbande University (URNM) will sign, in the first half of September, a memorandum of understanding for the award of scholarships and paid professional internships.

There are five scholarships, to be distributed among the organic units of URNM, three for the Polytechnic Institute, one for the Institute of Agri-Food Technology and an equal number for the Faculty of Medicine, while the paid professional internships, also five, will be exclusive to students of the Institute of Agri-Food Technology.

The information was made public on Wednesday (28), by the advisor to the Board of Directors of the FGC, Manuel Gando, at the end of a meeting with the rector of the Queen Njinga a Mbande University, Eduardo Ekundi, which aimed to set up procedures for the signing of the memorandum, to be operationalized in the 2024/2025 academic year.

He said that the professional internships will be carried out in companies in the productive sector, with which the Credit Guarantee Fund already has partnerships.

Among the requirements to apply for scholarships and professional internships, he indicated good academic performance (with an average of 14 to 20 values), not being a beneficiary of any other scholarship and proven need in the household.

To ensure the smoothness of the process, it was agreed to create a committee consisting of the Directorate of Academic Affairs (DAAC), the Students' Association and members of all the Organic Units.

The Queen Njinga Mbande University, created under Presidential Decree 285/20, of 29 October, consists of three organic units, namely the Faculty of Medicine, the Polytechnic Institute and the Institute of Agri-Food Technology.

Clinical Psychology, Medicine, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Nursing, Administration and Management, Law, Social Psychology, Primary Education, Mathematics Teaching, Hotel and Tourism Management, Geography Teaching and Agri-Food Engineering are among the courses available at this University.
