Luanda - The National Youth Council (CNJ) expressed, this Monday, in Luanda, its intention to send young Angolans for training in the Federative Republic of Russia, on a scholarship.

The intention was expressed to the Russian ambassador in Angola, Vladimir Tararov, by the CNJ's chairman, Isaías Kalunga, during a meeting attended by the leaders of youth associations.

The parties spoke about training and teaching programs and support for promoting youth entrepreneurship, among other aspects.

Speaking to the press, Ambassador Vladimir Tararov said that they have specific projects for Angolan youth, in the most diverse areas.

He mentioned that there are currently around three thousand Angolans undergoing training in Russia.

He disclosed that 450 Angolan students will travel back home to their country this year to continue their training.

Vladimir Tararov revealed that the Embassy will request, in the near future, an increase in the number of free scholarships for Angolan citizens, depending on demand.

On the occasion, Isaías Kalunga, said that the aim is to help disadvantaged families with scholarships.

He added that they have approximately 63,000 scholarship holders across the country.

Isaías Kalunga raised the possibility of sending young Angolans to Russia, later this year, for secondary and higher education.
