Luanda - At least 2,000 national citizens will work at the Textile Industry Unit - TEXTANG II, in Cazenga municipality, Luanda province, a factory officially handed over Wednesday by the Institute for Management of State Assets and Shareholdings (IGAPE) to the IEP company.

In this first phase, the factory has 700 jobs available, and under the terms of the operating contract the current owner plans to make an investment to expand capacity and receive 2,000 employees, the head of IGAPE's Privatisation Department said in an audio sent to Angop today.

In terms of the returns from these concessions, Mr. Tavares said that the state would collect, from a financial point of view, a fixed rent and a variable rent for the textile operation, according to the unit's production, which had been inoperative for almost two years and would resume activities in March.

"There will be economic gains during the textile production, ranging from supply to the market of various products; economic gains from the export of production, as well as employability and revenue collection via payment of industrial taxes, by the IEP - the new manager of the enterprise", he said.

As for its main line, he said that the same industry was designed to produce tissues for making uniforms for the Military, Fire Brigade, National Police, Cleaning and School Services, which other companies could also make later.
