Luanda – TAAG Angola Airlines has ordered four new aircraft of the 787 Dreamliner model, under a commercial sale-by-leaseback regime, from the manufacturer Boeing to reinforce continental and intercontinental routes, starting in the third quarter of 2024.
According to a press release from the company sent to ANGOP, the first plane, part of the business and fleet modernization plan, will arrive in the country in August of next year.
The note clarifies that with these new aircraft, the best service provision conditions will be ensured, as well as providing passengers with greater travel comfort.
The Boeing 787 Dreamliner carries 300 passengers, of which 213 are in economy class, 57 in first class and 30 in business class.
According to the note, from an operational point of view, these are efficient aircraft in terms of fuel economy and environmental sustainability, with a 25% reduction in carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions.
