Luanda -Angola Airlines (TAAG) is to kick off Luanda-Brazzaville flights on August2, replacing the Luanda-Pointe Noire route to keep air link between Angola and the Republic of Congo, the company said in a statement.

The last flight of the Luanda- Pointe Noire route was scheduled for July 26, 2024.

TAAG highlighted that the Luanda - Brazzaville flights will have two weekly frequencies, departing on Fridays and Sundays, with a Dash-8 400 aircraft, with capacity for 74 passengers, 10 in business class and 64 in economy.

"As part of the planning and management of TAAG network, the Angola-Republic of Congo link via Brazzaville will provide the company with greater connectivity and traffic with the southern African region," reads the statement.

It adds that tickets are already available at TAAG's usual points of sale (website, call centre, shop, travel agency), and customers can benefit from more advantageous fares by purchasing their ticket in advance.

According to TAAG, Brazzaville is the largest city in the Republic of Congo, with a strong concentration of economic activity, industry and services, which make the destination attractive to the corporate and private segment. ML/ASS/DAN/AMP
