Luanda - A group of South African businesspeople Wednesday in Pretoria showed interest in investing in agri-business and infrastructures in Angola, particularly in re-launching cocoa and maize production, as well as poultry and pork production in Cabinda.

The intention was expressed by the operations director of South African company "Agri all Africa," André Botha, and the executive director of the Trooper group, John Kayira, during a meeting granted by the Angolan ambassador to South Africa, Filomena Delgado.

According to a press release sent to Angop, the South Africans are interested in establishing partnerships with the Angolan authorities to work with local producers in the value chain of the agricultural sector.

The aim is to increase production for domestic consumption, export surpluses, improve school, hospital, solar power and water infrastructures, family incomes and the living quality of communities.
