Lubango – A total of Akz 28.0 billion is the amount disbursed, in the last two years, to 40 companies in Huíla, within the scope of the Program to Support Production, Diversification of Exports and Substitution of Imports (PRODESI).
These are financing lines from Notice 10 of the National Bank of Angola (BNA), of Economic Relief intended for the purchase of agricultural and fishing inputs, acquisition of national products and the Agrarian Development Support Fund (FADA).
The beneficiaries include farms, agricultural cooperatives and economic agents from the municipalities of Lubango, Chibia, Cuvango, Humpata, Chicomba, Matala, Caluquembe, Caconda, Quilengues and Quipungo, whose disbursement was made from May 2020 to October 2021.
He said that with the available amount, companies increased their production, purchased a large part of the production from local farmers, as well as providing new jobs.
