Luanda – The oil production reached a total volume of 35.4 million barrels (MMBBLS), representing an increase of 9.5% compared to the previous period (February), when the production stood at 32.3 million barrels.

The average daily production in March was 1,142 MBPD, according to the monthly report published by PetroAngola, an Angolan company that provides information on oil, gas and renewable energies.

Block 17 recorded a daily average of 381,786 KBPD, being the largest producer in the period under analysis, followed by Block 0, with an average production of 161,942 KBPD, and Block 32, with 145,716 KBPD.

According to the March report, Angolan branches were traded at a premium in relation to Brent, with the combination of prices for the most valued crudes in international markets reaching an average value of US$114.29/barrel (BBL), setting around 3.34 dollars/BBL above the value of Brent.

Girassol branch was the best valued, having reached the highest price of 133.42 dollars per barrel, with a monthly average of 114.86 dollars, according to the publication.

After Girassol, follows the Cabinda branch with a monthly average of USD 114.68/BBL, followed by the Nemba branch at a price of USD 132.78/BBL, with a monthly average of USD 113.84/BBL.

Dália, another Angolan branch, reached a price of 132.73 dollars/BBL and a monthly average of 113.77 dollars/BBL.

Gas production stood at 87.583 million cubic feet (MMSCFD) in March, making a daily average of 2,825 MMSCFD, which represents a 7% increase from the previous month.

In February, total gas production reached 81,621 MMSCFD corresponding to a daily average of 2,915 MMSCFD.

Of the total volume of gas produced, 44% was injected, 8% made available for power generation in oil facilities, 19% exported to the ALNG plant, 4% for flaring, while the remaining 26% were used in "gas lift", one of the most popular methods for artificially lifting fluids.

Until March, OPEC+ (Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries and partners) continued with increases of less than 400,000 barrels per day (KBPD) due to the lack of additional capacity on the part of some coalition members.
