Luanda –In the end of the first semester of this year, the Angolan Government collected 4.17 billion kwanzas from crude oil tax revenue with the export of 209.5 million barrels of this commodity.

The mentioned amount was exported at an average price of USD 99,68 per barrel, according to consolidated data up to June this year published by the Special Tax Directorate (DTE) on the webpage of the Ministry of Finance, to which ANGOP has had access.

With this amount the government is close to reaching 6.12 billion kwanzas of oil tax revenue planned for the 2022 State General Budget (OGE), with a reference price of 59 dollars per barrel.

In addition to the price changes observed in the last days, the price of a barrel of oil in the international market is still influencing the accounts of the Angolan State.

From the total amount of 4.17 billion kwanzas, 3.47 billion kwanzas represent the revenue for the National Oil, Gas and Biofuel´s Agency (ANPG), according to the tax statements submitted to the General Tax Administration (AGT) based on the value stated by AGT, after deduction of 5%.

Another part of the tax revenue (1.7 billion kwanzas) was declared by the oil companies, translated into taxes on Oil Income (IRP), Oil Production (IPP) and Oil Transaction (ITP).

Block 17, which is operated by the French company TotalEnergies, keeps leading in production and exports by reaching 69.87 million barrels, followed by Block 32 with 27,12 million barrels which is also operated by the same oil company.

On the list of a total of 25 Blocks, Block 15 appears with an export of 25.69 million barrels, operated by the US company ExxonMobil, Block 15/06, with 20.22 million barrels and Block 0 (zero) A Cabinda with 18.11 million barrels.

The Republic of Angola is a member of the Organisation of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) and its production quota rose from 1.450 to 1.502 million barrels per day (bpd) in July, after the agreement of the 29th meeting of ministers of the alliance, held in Vienna, Austria, by video conference.

The country´s production of 1.1 million bpd is below the quota authorised by the organisation.
