Cuito - The governor of Bié, Pereira Alfredo, invited national and foreign businessmen to invest in the Cunje industrial hub, aiming at boosting the economy, creating wealth and jobs for the population.
Pereira Alfredo was speaking Wednesday at a meeting with members of MOYA - a local social and philanthropic association, which aimed to collect proposals to improve policies of the current government.
At the moment, he said, the government was continuing to work to create the minimum structures at the Cunje Industrial Hub, located seven kilometres north of the city of Cuito, with a view to stimulating businesspeople.
The government's programme includes total demining of the area, and of the 1,900 hectares of the industrial estate, 250 have been cleared by the National Demining Institute (INAD), the Angolan Armed Forces (FAA) and the Demining Brigade of the President's Security House.
Without giving too many details, the local Government and the sector in charge, are doing everything in order to soon put electric energy and potable water, roads and other structures that facilitate the access to that locality.
