Luanda - Angola’s Vice President Esperança da Costa Friday praised the national production capacity, with stress to goods bearing "Made in Angola" stamp.

Esperança da Costa made the praise during her visit to the five-day 38th Edition of the Luanda International Fair (FILDA), started on 18 July.

She said that the current reality of national production "is a positive sign for the Angolan Executive's expectation focused on the country’s economic diversification.

"We can conclude that the reforms conducted by the Executive to achieve food self-sufficiency are on a good track," she said, stressing that there is a lot of product made in the country, among brands of goods and services, a demonstration of the possibility of diversifying the economy.

Esperança da Costa said several companies are participating in FILDA, Startup focused, mainly on digital economy, but also on food, industrial and environmental safety .

She said these are the sectors that represent the main objectives of the Executive.

The Vice President also stated that the Executive maintains the challenges, because, although there is a lot of national production, it still does not meet the country's needs.

"The country is still unable to meet demand, which forces the Government to continue working on policies and increasing measures aimed at supporting entrepreneurs to improve their business, finding other partnerships linked to innovation and technology so that everyone has greater efficiency in their business," she stressed.

The Vice President was accompanied by the minister of Economy and Planning Mário Caetano João.

The event brings together 1 302 exhibitors, including foreign nationals. AKA/PPA/VM/DAN/NIC
