Luanda – The Cabinet Council approved Wednesday a regulation on the licensing and Travel and Tourism Agencies, with the aim to make the sector more attractive, reduce state intervention in these matters.
According to a statement of the meeting, the approved regulation aims to implement a monitoring system for these activities, allowing the relevant legislation in force to be materialized.
The regulation now approved excludes the requirement to hold a minimum amount of capital to open a travel agency and allows other activities to be carried out in the same establishment, provided they are authorized by the tourism authority.
FISHERIES
The Council of Ministers approved the Management Measures for Marine Fisheries, Continental Fisheries, Aquaculture and Salt for 2024, with the aim to adjust catch capacity to the available potential of aquatic biological resources and aquaculture.
AIPEX
The Cabinet also approved a memo between Angola's Private Investment and Export Promotion Agency (AIPEX) and the Agency for the Internationalization of Italian Companies (ICE) through the office for the promotion of exchanges of the Italian embassy in Angola.
The legal tool aims to establish a coordinated structure to promote and attract investment and promote exports creating the premises for boosting the development and expansion of trade and investment in the economies of both countries. PA/AC/AMP
