Luanda - Angola exported 1.09 million metric tons of gas in the first quarter of this year, of which 31.54 percent went to China.
Of the amount exported, India bought 30.75 percent, as did the Democratic Republic of Congo (the only African country), whose figures were released Thursday by the Ministry for Mineral Resources, Oil and Gas (Mirempet).
Of the gas exported, 80.94 percent accounts for liquefied natural gas (LNG), 12.58 percent for propane gas and 3.12 percent for condensates.
For the export of these products, according to figures presented by the director of the Mirempet studies, planning and statistics office, Alexandre Garreto, weighted prices of 431.33 USD/TM for LNG, 400.86 USD/TM for butane gas, 402.77 USD/TM for propane and 537.47 USD/TM for condensates were charged.
Data published by the National Oil, Gas and Biofuels Agency (ANPG) to which ANGOP had access, show that in March of this year, production of associated gas was 84 573 million cubic feet, corresponding to an average of 2 728 million cubic feet per day (MMSCFD).
Of the volume, 1 334 MMSCFD was of injected, 725 MMSCFD made available for the ALNG plant, 263 MMSCFD for power generation at the oil facilities and the remainder was used in oil operations and offloading.00
