Luanda - The second edition of the Angola Economic Outlook (AEO), to be held on 8 November this year at the Talatona Convention Centre in Luanda Province, focuses on human capital as a decisive factor for development, said the secretary of State for the Economy, Ivan dos Santos.
According to the official, the event will allow for the sharing of ideas, analyses of the country's macroeconomic and financial scenarios, as well as a review of the projections made in April of this year, covering the real sector of the economy, public finances, monetary and exchange rates.
Ivan dos Santos recalled that the first edition was held in April by the Ministry of Economy and Planning (MEP), in partnership with Economia & Mercado magazine, with institutional support from the Ministry of Finance, the Central Bank of Angola (BNA) and the Kwanza Económico company.
He said that the first edition was held with the participation of public and private institutions, with themes on the national economy, and was attended by 200 participants.
"There is a need to move towards a second edition of the event, because we believe that it has become an ideal platform, with some importance for us to be able to present our macroeconomic data and open up the opportunity for debate on the data presented," he said.
Meanwhile, the event, whose first edition was held under the slogan "From economic recovery to sustainable development", is considered a space for economic debate that aims to enable investors and other stakeholders to predict their decisions taking planned projects into account.
