Cabinda – the northern Cabinda province is expected to have in the coming days, a Technical and Technological Center to train producers in agriculture, aquaculture and environment sectors, the local governor, Mara Quiosa has said.
Speaking at the end of a visit to the rehabilitation works of the new center, the governor said the center was built more than five years ago, however it never worked due to the lack of equipment.
Quiosa added that the infrastructure is benefiting from rehabilitation and equipping works, with modern technical and technological means for practical classes on the transformation of various national products.
According to the governor, the idea is to illustrate producers how they should cultivate and process products, such as cocoa, coffee, cassava, fruits, among others.
With this center, the governor said, it will be possible to choose a cocoa producer, for example, to learn the techniques of fermentation and production of chocolates, whether homemade or industrial.
According to the governor, the center will be equipped with means of processing animal products, with the setting up of poultry, pig and other species breeding units.
Additionally, the center will also have an area to train environmentalists on methods of preserving and combating pollution of water, air, fires, ecosystems, among others.
