Luanda – The Development Bank of Angolan (BDA) recently joined the United Nations Global Compact, with the aim of promoting the development, implementation and dissemination of sustainable and inclusive business practices.
According to a press release to which ANGOP had access on Wednesday, Jan 29, BDA's adherence to the UN Global Compact reinforces this banking institution's commitment to promoting responsible business practices, in addition to aligning its operations to universal principles, contributing to a fairer and more sustainable future for everyone.
According to the document, Global Compact seeks to align its business strategies and operations with ten universally accepted principles in the areas of human rights.
It also aims to promote working conditions, the environment and anti-corruption, in addition to encouraging active contribution to the UN's Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
The UN Global Compact brings together several organizations around the world that share the same commitment to taking concrete measures to build a sustainable and inclusive future.
