Luanda - The Minister of Mineral Resources, Oil and Gas, Diamantino Azevedo, on Tuesday in South Africa, invited local businesspeople to visit Angola, with the aim of investing in the mining sector.
The invitation was formulated during the 'Angola Day' at Indaba Mining 2025, which runs from 3-5 of February in the city of Cape Town, according to a press release sent to Angop.
'Come to Angola and we will associate your names with the development of our country, we will welcome you warmly and open hands to establish relationships of mutual advantages,' the minister said.
The Minister highlighted the vast portfolio of mineral resources, such as gold, copper, iron, niobium, rare lands and heavy sands that remain largely unexplored, as well as the igneous, carbonatitic complexes and the extension of Copperbelt awaiting investment.
He stressed that despite the 100 years of diamond exploration, Angola still has more mineral richness to discover, ensuring geologists who want to name in the annals of these discoveries, visiting the country.
Diamantino Azevedo stated that he is not only appealing to mining companies to establish themselves in Angola, but also to invite service providers to join the sector because it is growing, meaning new opportunities for all.
He argued that the Angolan regulatory system is transparent, stable and guarantees the security of property, with full autonomy of the National Agency of Mineral Resources.
The government official ensured that there is commitment to transparency that is being demonstrated, because they are about to implement the Digital Minas Gerais Registration System (CMA).
According to the leader, the 'Angola Day' was also marked by sharing experiences of eight companies operating in Angola, namely Beers, Sodiam, Rio Tinto, Nobonga, Shining Star, Angloamerican, Angolytio and Ivanhoe.
He recalled that before the opening the National Agency of Mineral Resources and Endiama (by Angola) and NDuma, signed the Minas Gerais investment contract in Diamonds in Lunda-Norte (Kimberlitos). SJ/AJQ/DOJ
