Luanda - The Angolan capital will host, from the 24th to the 26th of this month, the 15th Meeting of Businesspeople for Economic and Commercial Cooperation between China and the Community of Portuguese Speaking Countries (CPLP), in an initiative of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Angola (CCIA).
The event, which will feature 320 participants, 230 Angolans and 90 from China and Macau, will take place at the Luanda International Fair (FILDA), with the support of the Angolan Government, through the Ministries of Industry and Commerce and Foreign Affairs.
According to the CCIA's chairperson, Vicente Soares, who spoke at the press conference launching the meeting, the objective of the event is to verify business opportunities with Chinese investors and investors from CPLP countries.
Vicente Soares recognized, on the other hand, the potential of Brazil and Portugal, highlighting the importance of finding conditions so that companies from other CPLP countries can have access to financing.
"We do not only see investment from more developed countries, but we also want to ensure that this relationship allows the emergence of strong business classes", he concluded.
Angola hosts, for the third time, the annual event that has been taking place, since 2005, on a rotating basis, in the different CPLP countries.
The Businesspeople's Meeting for Economic and Commercial Cooperation between China and CPLP is held annually.
This is a project for negotiation and cooperation between businesspeople and is part of the Cooperation Protocol between Trade Promotion Bodies, Chambers of Commerce of Mainland China, the different Portuguese-speaking countries and Macau, signed in October 2003.
The Meeting has been organized since 2005 on a rotating basis in several Portuguese-speaking countries.
