Luanda - Interclube beat 1.° de Agosto 63-50 on Monday in the second round of the quadrangular women’s basketball tournament dubbed "Independência" and lead the competition with four points.
Inter won the first period by 20-11.
Interclube were very apathetic in the second period, scoring only three points, against 18 points achieved by 1º de Agosto, which finished the first half with 14-38 lead.
In the third period 1º de Agosto entered much better offensively and defensively which forced Interclube to improve their tactics to avoid losing the goal score lead they had (35-49).
In the fourth and last period, Interclube managed to control the game better and won the match by 63-50.
For the same round, Academia do 1º Agosto beat Formigas do Cazenga 79-47.
The competition, which ends Thursday, is organized by 1º de Agosto as part of the celebrations of the 47th anniversary of the National Independence, marked on November 11.
