Luanda - The goal by Angolan Cristóvão Paciência 'Mabululu', scored in Angola's 3-0 victory against Namibia in the 2023 CAN, played in Côte d'Ivoire, is among the 11 nominees for the CAF Awards 24.
According to a note published on the website of the Confederation of African Football (CAF), voting begins on Monday and ends on the 12th, and the winner should be announced at a gala of the organization on the 16th, in Marrakech, Morocco.
The regulation allows the registration of goals scored in the period between January and October 2024, in competitions under the aegis of the African Confederation.
The 32-year-old's goal resulted from the reception of a pass on the left wing, from Gelson Dala, and a shot from outside the area, in the shape of an arc, with no chance of defense for the Namibian goalkeeper Kazapua, at the 66th minute.
