Luanda -1º de Agosto conceded a goalless draw to Sporting de Cabinda at home on Wednesday for the 14th round of the national football top division Girabola 2021/22 and slipped in the championship title race.
With the draw 1º de Agosto stayed in the third position with 30 points, while Sporting de Cabinda are tenth placed in a competition co-led by Sagrada Esperança and Petro de Luanda (both with 35 points).
1º de Agosto assistant coach, Filipe Zanza, said the result is negative since his players failed to take advantage of the favoritism they had.
Sporting de Cabinda coach, Manuel Vela, in his turn, said the result was fair, since it was a very balanced and tactical game.
The round opened with the match in which Petro de Luanda defeated Recreativo do Libolo by 3-1.
