Luanda - The senior men's National Futsal Team will participate, in August, in a preparation tournament in Rio Maior (Portugal), aiming for the World Championship, taking place from September 14th to October 6th, in Uzbekistan.
In the preparation tournament, to be played from the 15th to the 19th of August, the national team will face the teams of Uzbekistan and Portugal (European and Intercontinental champions).
After the tournament, Angola will remain in that country to continue preparing for participation in the World Championship, with tatical training games with local teams.
According to coach Marcos Antunes, the objective is to play at least seven matches in this preparation phase, to increase the players' competitive level.
He confirmed that, before the tournament, the Angolans will play a match against Uzbekistan, on August 11th.
On September 8th, the African runners-up (Morocco'2024) return to the country to receive the National Flag, in an official farewell to the world event.
