Dundo - Sagrada Esperança head coach, Roque Sapiri, is due to attend an intensive training in Mozambique with aim to acquire the license B, and enable him to lead the team in the African competitions, the chairperson of the club, José Muacabalo, told ANGOP on Monday.
José Mucabalo explained that the coach is expected to remain in the team contrary to information circulated in some websites and social media.
The coach does not have the license required by the Confederation of African Football (CAF), and Sagrada should represent, in the 2021/22 season, the country in the African Champion Clubs League, a fact that has "motivated" speculation about a possible hiring of another coach, however Mucabalo ruled out this possibility.
The 45 -year old coach took over the position in 2019, replacing Portuguese Paulo Torres, after having been an athlete at Sagrada Esperança from 1988 to 2008.
Sagrada Esperança won the 2020 national first division football championship.
