Luanda – Coaches Carlos Víver and Filipe Cruz will remain in their role as senior national handball coaches, Women and Men, respectively, according to the Federation chairperson, José do Amaral.
The federation official said there is no need to change the respective technical teams, given that the work they carry out is medium and long term.
“We have a two-year contract with Carlos Víver with the prospect of automatic renewal in the first year for another two ones and in general we are thinking about the Olympic cycle that runs until 2028” he said.
Regarding Filipe Cruz, his continuity is linked to the project being developed by the federation, where investment in the men's sector becomes greater, so that it can once again conquer top positions at African level, reason why the coach must remain in office.
It should be remembered that both teams will compete in international tournaments in the country's capital, in celebration of the 50th anniversary of National Independence to be celebrated on Nov 11th, as well as the respective IHF events throughout the year.
The women's team will compete in the World Championship to be held in Germany and the Netherlands from Nov 26th to Dec 14th.
