Luanda - Childe Dundão and Clésio Castro have been released of the senior men's basketball team over technical options, ahead of the team’s participation in the Tokyo Olympic Games qualifier tournament to take place in Lithuania.
The Lithuania competition to be held from July 29 to July 4 qualifies for the Tokyo Olympic Games to be held from July 23 to August 8.
The athletes in question did not join the working group on Saturday, violating the federation guidelines and, as a result, were removed by the national team head coach.
Currently integrating the national pre-selection team are Gildo Santos, Pedro Bastos, Selton Miguel, Edson Ndoniema, Malik Cissé, Rifen Miguel, Alexandre Jungo, Jonatão Jungo, Glofate Buimba, Aboubakar Gakou, Leonel Paulo, and Jilson Bango.
Yanick Moreira and Bruno Fernando are expected to join the team in Barcelona (Spain).
