Benguela - Elite cyclist Dário António of Luanda’s ACT team won Friday the first stage of the 130 kilometers individual time of Pepino Grand Prix after finishing the initial stage with 11 minutes and 13 seconds.
The race that takes place in Ombaka lands had as runner-up Igor Silva of Jair Transportes Benguela team and Gabriel Caldeira of ACT team.
In masters 40, the winners were Vanini Manita, UCL Huíla, Walter Pepino, Pepino-Benguela School, and Sílvio Oliveira of Jair Transportes Benguela, respectively in first, second and third positions.
In junior category, Jorge Gonçalves of 2 wheels team won the contest. In immediate positions were Adérito Pereira and Jaime Silva.
Pepino Grand Prix will have three stages, individual time trial of 130 kilometers, second stage of the 150-kilometer long distance race and a closed circuit on the Morena beach with 30 kilometers, respectively.
At least 140 athletes from the provinces of Cabinda, Luanda, Bengo, Benguela and Huíla are participating in the competition.
