Luanda - The motivational level and evolution of the players allow coach Pedro Gonçalves to believe in the victory of the Angolan football team, Monday 8 pm, at the 11 de Novembro Stadium, in Luanda, against the similar team from Sudan.

Speaking to the press Sunday, at the end of training (behind closed doors) for the match in the 2nd round of Group F qualifying for the African Cup of Nations (CAN2025), in Morocco, the coach stated that the well-being and the group's tranquility allows them to think about getting the three points at home.

“Our objective is victory, but the team will have to work hard, because the opponent team has also been improving considerably. Its easy to see it if we look at the statistics from their last World Cup qualifying games, and previous game against Niger,” he said.

Likewise, he recognized other strengths of the opponent, also above average, having a very compact team, with players with considerable physical size. But the team is prepared for any situation and finds solutions to reach the objective, which is victory and getting the three points.

He added that players will need to pay attention to ball transitions, in which the opponent seeks to take advantage.

To this end, with the entire strategic plan already worked on, despite the short time, since the FIFA date was short and they only had three days to recover the players after the game against Ghana, in which Angola won at the opponent's home, by 1-0.

Although it is a normal working day, on Monday, Pedro Gonçalves hopes that the public will turn out in droves to support the National Team in achieving a positive result. BSV/VAB/CF/DOJ
