Dundo - The official of the Confederation of African Football (CAF), José Neves, acknowledged Sunday that there are significant improvements for the Sagrada Esperança Stadium in Angola’s eastern Lunda Norte province to host matches of the African Champions’ League group stage.

Speaking to the press at the end of an inspection visit to various parts of the stadium by a delegation led by CAF inspector Gerson de Melo, José Neves stressed that the stadium has the minimum conditions to host matches of the African Champions League.

"After the last visit I made in August, I can see some improvements in the stadium, with emphasis on the lawn whose irrigation system was changed, the locker rooms are at an acceptable level, there are hotels and sanitary units in conditions and with qualities required by CAF," Mr. Neves stressed.

CAF official added that the final approval of the stadium for League matches depends on the evaluation report of Inspector Gerson de Melo to the CAF Technical Commission.
