Luanda - The international player Vera Kiala has returned to the senior women's handball team of Petro de Luanda for a two-season contract, ANGOP learnt on Wednesday.
The 23-year-old central midfielder, who represented 1º de Agosto in the last four years, will have direct competition from the experienced Rissia de Oliveira and Edith Bunga.
Kiala is one of the key players of coach Vivaldo Eduardo for this season, as well as the 19-year old pivot Thahany Castro from the 1º de Agosto Academy.
The defending champions will play the provincial championship of Luanda, Angola Cup and National Championship, while at international level the team will be involved in the African Super Cup, Cup of Cup Winners and Cup of Champion Clubs.
The handball season began in October 2021 with a match of the Francisco de Almeida Super Cup.
