Luanda – Angola’s national under-18 women's basketball team won bronze medal in Afrobasket'2022 on Saturday in Antananarivo after beating the host Madagascar 53-37, in a qualifying game for the third.
At the first half of the game played at the Ginásio Vatofotsy pavilion, the Angolans were winning 26-25, with a three-point advantage (10-7) in the first quarter.
In the third quarter, the Angolan team won 40-33, and in the last quarter, the result was 53-37.
Angola kept the third place achieved in 2018, in Mozambique, following 59-46 win over Rwanda.
Mali and Tunisia played the final of the race on Saturday.
In men category, Angola also dispute the third place against Mali on Sunday in Madagascar.
