Luanda - The new board of the Angolan Football Federation (FAF) must look at the sport throughout the country, in a work of continuity, the outgoing chairman of the institution, Artur de Almeida e Silva, said Saturday in Luanda.
Speaking to the press, at the FAF headquarters, reacting to the results of the elections held in the same day, in which the winner was Alves Simões, for list B, he said that the electoral dispute had some dynamics, although there were some abnormalities.
"We admit defeat, it is a process and we leave with peace of mind because we demonstrated our best. But it is necessary to maintain the existing balance because we have consolidated positions in CAF and FIFA", said the competitor for list C.
In his work program, Artur de Almeida e Silva promised the administrative and financial restructuring of the FAF, as well as the implementation of unfinished programs for the expansion of football within the country.
He competed for the leadership of the FAF for the third time, after leading it from 2016 to 2024.
