Malanje - The provincial governor of Malanje, Marcos Nhunga, on Wednesday urged the youth of the municipality of Massango to invest in agricultural and livestock production to boost the sector in the region.
Speaking at the opening of the III edition of the Massango Producer's Fair, the governor valued the agricultural production of the locality, but other levels need to be reached, which involves farmers seriously investing in this area.
'If once Massango's potential is explored, there will be an increase in production and the creation of many jobs for youth,' he said, having pointed to the fair now open as an opportunity to show the potential of the constituency and attract investors.
In turn, the municipal administrator of Massango, Ânsia Salatiel considered the event as a door that opens to the
flow of products from the field in addition to constituting a chain of entrepreneurship and innovation for local producers.
He highlighted the need to work increasingly to diversify the economy and ensure the food self-sufficiency of families, hence the regular holding of agricultural producer fairs.
The III edition of the Massango Agricultural Fair will last three days and various food crops are for sale, also constituting a space for exchange between producers and entrepreneurs from Malanje.
It takes place under the motto 'Bring to the spotlight the potential of the municipality of Massango for diversification of the economy' and has the participation of 40 exhibitors. RM/NC/PBC/DOJ
