Ndalatando – A total of 17 individual producers organized in agricultural cooperatives, in the province of Cuanza-Norte, benefited, on Saturday, from agricultural equipment for the region's agrarian development.
In sum are 12 motor cultivators and 5 tractors made available by the Agrarian Development Support Fund (FADA), within the scope of the Executive Program for financing agricultural mechanization delivered to the cooperatives of Cazengo, Cambambe, Samba-Caju, Banga and Ambaca.
After delivering the agricultural equipment, the FADA Board of Directors' head, Felisbela Maria Francisco, recalled that access to financing involves legalizing the plot of land and the cooperative or micro and small business, as well as demonstrating some productive capacity.
She reiterated that the repayment of this financing, which must be made in five years, with an interest rate of one to three percent, can be made in two ways, in cash or via agricultural products.
She also reaffirmed that credit values vary according to the type of equipment, with AOA 50 million being the maximum limit for financing tractors and AOA 10 million for motor cultivators.
FADA approved 142 credit requests in Cuanza-Norte, valued at more than a billion kwanzas.
Around 129 credits have already been disbursed, corresponding to AOA 918 million. DS/IMA/YD/CF/DOJ
